Torino midfielder Joel Obi has suffered another injury setback just when it seems like he has banished the injury demons that have stagnated his career the last six years.
Obi has managed to stay fit for Torino this season with a total of 11 league appearances to his name after 14 round of games in the Serie A, a remarkable tally as he only played 10 Serie A games last season.
However he is set for a three weeks spell on the sidelines after pulling up injured after just 15 minutes in their Coppa Italia 4-0 extra time win over Pisa on Tuesday.
Medical scans have confirmed that the 25 year old former Inter-Milan prospect suffered an abductor muscle to his right thigh, which will need at least three weeks to heal.
The injury means he will miss the tie against Napoli, which would have added to his league appearances and brighten his chances of earning a recall to the Nigeria senior national team.
