Russian Nigerian defender Brian Idowu scored his second professional goal but his first in three seasons as Amkar Perm ran out 3-0 winners over Orenburg in the Russian Premier League.
The last time Idowu found the back of the net was on the 12th of May 2014 while on loan to Russian second division side FK Dinamo Sankt-Peterburg, in a game they lost 2-3.
Idowu netted in the 35 minutes to put Amkar Perm 2-0 up before Roland Gigolaev scored a third to complete the rout at their home ground Zvezda Stadion.
Already coach of the Nigeria senior national team Gernot Rohr has arranged talks with the 24 year old over plans to call him up to the Super Eagles for their World Cup 2018 qualifiers next year.
He is expected to give Nigeria depth at the left and right back positions, same role he plays for his Russian side Amkar Perm.
