Nigeria youth international Orji Okonkwo made his third league appearance for Serie A side Bologna as visiting Empoli forced them to a 0-0 draw in front of their fans.
Manager Roberto Donadoni introduced the Nigerian in 82nd minute for Ladislav Krejci as Bologna search for a late goal to snatch all three points. They however had to settle for one point as the game ended 0-0.
18 year old Okonkwo joined Bologna in the summer, and was immediately moved to the Primavera side of the Serie A side, but after a month with team he was promoted to the first team.
He took the Primavera league by storm, scoring five goals in his first four games, a tally which prompted the manager to make him a main stay in the main team, with the injury to Sadiq Umar also playing a part.
So far he has raked up four appearances overall since his debut three weeks ago, and although he is still searching for his first goal, he has impressed in batches as he continues to learn the ropes in the Serie A.
