Fringe Super Eagles star Aminu Umar emerged from the substitute bench to score the winner for Turkish side Osmanlispor, as they secure a 2-1 win over Akhisar Belediye Genclik Ve Spor in the league.
The forward who only recently returned from a minor injury came in for Dzon Delarge in the 72nd minute with scores tied at 1-1 at the Manisa 19 Mayis Stadium.
After seeing his side waste a glorious chance to take the lead via the spot, when Badou Ndiaye missed his spot kick. The Nigerian saved his teammate’s blunder with a match winning strike five minutes from time.
The goal was his second of the season in the league but overall he has scored six times this season, with four coming in the Europa League. Aside his goals he has also picked up five assists this season.
He is reportedly on the wish list of English Premier League strugglers Hull City, but their interest which came while he was with Nigeria at the Olympics in Rio is yet to be matched by a bid.
