On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo was handed a new role by coach Huseyin Kalpar in Alanyaspor 2-0 win over Karabukspor in the Turkish League.
A central defender by trade, the Nigerian who has been ever present for the Turkish side was moved up front by the coach to a defensive midfield role, just in front of the back four.
He showed good composure on the ball, broke up the play of their opponents with ease, but picked up a yellow card in the process as his side won thanks to a brace from Brazilian forward Vagner Love.
Shortly after the game Omeruo took to twitter to express his joy over his performance with a post on his official twitter handle.
” Great win today.. 0-2 away from home against Karabukspor. Great experience playing from the defensive midfield position” He posted.
