According to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry Alex Iwobi’s goal against Manchester City should have stood, same way that of Leroy Sane was allowed to stand.
Henry made this stand known after Arsenal 2-1 loss to Man City at the Etihad which condemned the gunners to 4th position, six points behind leaders Chelsea.
Iwobi’s goal would have given Arsenal a 2-0 lead before City recovered from been a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1, but controversy has continue to trail both goals scored by the Pep Guardiola tutored side.
” You can argue that Sane’s foot is ahead of Koscielny. But, when it’s that close, you have to give the benefit of the doubt, same way that of Iwobi should have stood as well”, Henry said.
” If you are an Arsenal fan you are going to argue there were two offsides. The main thing is that Arsenal didn’t turn up”.
