According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com little known FC Porto loanee Fidelis Irhene is in talks with Belgian side K.V. Oostende over a loan move this January.
20 year old Irhene has been one of the shining lights for his loan side Portimonense who are currently leading the second division in Portugal, as battle for promotion to the top league hots up.
So far he has made eight appearances for Portimonense, in what is his second consecutive loan spell at the club after winning their heart last season when he made 22 appearances.
The FC Porto loanee had talks with the hierarchy of the Portiguese giants three days back, and we gathered from sources close to the player that he was told to snub interest from two teams in Turkey who are keen on his services.
Porto wants him close to where he can be properly monitored hence they desire to see him remain with Portimonense until the end of the season, but the interest from K.V. Ostende appears to have changed all of their plans.
Irhene is eager to test his trade in Belgium, and already talks have started regarding a six months loan to the team that currently has former Super Eagles star Joseph Akpalla on their payroll.
