Manager of Leicester City Claudio Ranieri has dropped a hint on the potential signing of Gent Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi when the transfer window opens in January.
Ndidi has already passed a medical at the club after a transfer fee in the region of £16m was agreed between both teams for his move to the Premier League champions.
While the player hinted he has played his last game for his Belgian side Genk in their 2-0 win over Gent two days ago, Ranieri didn’t confirm or deny rumours that the Nigerian will be unveiled on the first of January 2017.
“I don’t know,” Rainiei stated when asked about Ndidi’s impending signing during his pre-match media conference ahead of Leicester’s clash against West Ham United.
“Let me see him, say good morning and welcome, and then I will tell you. It is not my matter. Wait . You will enjoy the next day.”
