Sligo Rovers of Ireland full back Tobi Adebayor-Rowling says he has dreams of play for Nigeria despite being eligible for England.
Tobi Adebayor-Rowling made this known to Owngoalnigeria.com In an exclusive chat that he hope to one day play for Nigeria even though he is yet to be officially contacted.
” Yes of course I would love to play for Nigeria”, when he was asked if he is interested in playing for the Super Eagles, who are currently having a mini crisis at right back.
” Am yet to be approached by Nigeria, same way have not been approached by England. I really would love to play for Nigeria to be honest.
” I think I can add quality to the team as I watch them whenever they play. I believe I can improve the team if given a chance”.
He played for Brighton and Hove Albion, non league side Eastbourne Borough and Peterborough before without really making any head way but a move to Ireland. But since moving to Ireland he has grown in leaps and bounds.
The 20 year old is a rumoured target for English Premier League side Sunderland and Crystal Palace following several impressive displays for Sligo Rovers, where both teams reported sent scouts to monitor his progress.
