Exclusive: Elderson Echiejile Returns To Monaco After Expiration Of Loan Deal with Standard Liege


Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile is set to return back to French ligue 1 giants Monaco following the expiration of his loan deal with Standard Liege.


Echiejile joined the Belgian side on transfer deadline day during the summer on a six months loan deal, which expired yesterday.

He will return back to Monaco before a decision will be made on if his loan deal will be extended or not, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

While at Standard Liege, the 28 year old made a total of seven appearances in all competition, with six coming in the league and one in the cup.

Last season he made 20 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco with 18 starts despite struggling to nail down a permanent spot in the team.He is presently on honeymoon with his newly wedded wife
