The future of former Nigeria U-17 and 20 midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali at English Premier League side Manchester City is looking bleak with the club not keen on offering fresh terms.
Nwakali’s present contract with the team has 18 months to run, but the 20 year old who spent last season on loan to relegated Norwegian side IK Start has not been offered fresh terms.
Manchester City reportedly tried to ship him out on loan to three German clubs during the just concluded January transfer window, but their offer was rejected.
The midfielder who joined the team alongside Kelechi Iheanacho in 2014 has not have the best of time at the club unlike his Nigeria compatriot, no thanks to injuries and options in his preferred midfield role.
Linked with a return to Norway before the start of their league in March, his next loan move could have an option for the loan side to make his deal permanent.
