Italian Serie A side Bologna have completed the signing of another Nigerian in Kingsley Michael to bring to three the number of Nigerians on their books.
As exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com when his childhood friend and fellow World Cup winner Orji Okonkwo moved to the Serie A team last year, Michael was also included in the deal but age stopped him from joining the team.
However we can exclusively report that the midfielder arrived Italy over the weekend to resume training with Bologna, where he will spend more time with the B team before making the step up to the main team.
He was one of the stars for Nigeria at the last U-17 World Cup playing in all of the games as they romped to the title in style, he scored one of the goals and celebrated in a typical Michael Jackson breakdance move , a move that earned him the nickname Wacko-Jacko.
Kingsley Michael’s addition to the team means he now joins his Football Academy Abuja colleagues in Orji Okonkwo and Sadiq Umar at the Serie A side.
