Manchester United U23 lost 3-5 to their Derby County counterparts with two players eligible for Nigeria turning out for the B team of the Red Devils.
Matt Olosunde and Tosin Kehinde both started the tie for Manchester United, but while Kehinde found the back of the net with a late dinked effort, Olosunde had a game to forget in the defence of Manchester United.
Originally a central defender, the 18 year old struggled to cope at right back all game long, as his lack of pace was severally exploited by Derby County quick footed forwards.
The American-born defender of Nigeria descent was clearly at fault for the second goal scored by Derby County, which gave them a 2-1 lead going into the half time break.
Olosunde was beaten far too easily by Derby forward Bennet, whose cross was turned in by Elsnick on the line with a header.
