The fine run of Plateau United has dominated the headlines after six games in the Nigeria Professional Football League, but not much have been said about their players.


One among their players who have impressed so far, and even to an extent surpassed expectations is giant striker Emeka Umeh, who joined the team as an unknown quantity from NNL side Kaduna United.

The forward who has scored two goals do far in just five games is in his second season as a professional footballer, but his first in the top flight league in Nigeria.

Last season injuries marred his participation for Kaduna United but this season, he has banish those worries and has turned into a game changing substitute for coach Kennedy Boboye early season pace setters.

His huge frame makes it impossible for defenders to keep him at bay, and his dribbling abilities plus long strides has helped him go past defenders with ease.

Brilliant with his back to goal, the 19 year old is certainly guarantee to do exploits in the nearest future especially if he maintains his hard work and stay focused.
