Organisers – Why Nigeria Against Senegal Friendly Tie Will Be Played In London On March 23rd


The organisers of the proposed friendly tie between Nigeria and Senegal have announced that the game will take place in London on the 23rd of March 2017.


In a mail sent to, the organisers of the tie explained that the choice of London as venue for the game is to ensure that all invited players plying their trade in Europe make it to the game.

London was picked by the organisers as it is easily accessible from almost all destination in Europe, and it will allay travel problems for Europe based players of both teams.

The game is meant to help both teams prepare for the upcoming Africa 2019 Cup of Nations qualifiers and ahead of the resumption of the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
