Hints From Wenger Suggest Iwobi Could Miss Nigeria’s Friendly Games Against Senegal and Burkina Faso

Manager of Arsenal Arsene Wenger has dropped a big hint which suggest Alex Iwobi could miss the Super Eagles friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso.

Iwobi missed Arsenal’s 1-5 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, which saw the Gunners crash out on a 2-10 aggregate score after losing the first leg by same margin.

The 20 year old according to manager Arsene Wenger will also miss Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Lincoln City as Arsenal aim to get back to winning ways after two straight defeat against Liverpool and Bayern Munich respectively.

Wenger didn’t confirm when Iwobi will be back in training but with Nigeria set to take on Senegal and later Burkina Faso in London in 12 days time, he could be short of match fitness.

Already Victor Osimhen has withdrawn from the games after undergoing surgery at his German side Wolfsburg, and his spot has been taken by Austria Wien’s forward Olarenwaju Kayode.
