Enyimba forward Ezekiel Bassey who is on a six months loan to Spanish giants Barcelona, has reacted to reports that he will return to Enyimba after the expiration of his loan deal.
As reported by this portal yesterday Bassey is yet to be issued a work permit two months after signing the dotted lines for the club, and his performances have also failed to reach the expected height.
We reported his possible release in the summer, but the forward has pour cold water on a possible return to Barcelona, but confirmed he is yet to receive his work permit.
” Since the 31st of January that I had my medicals, my work permit is still not ready, but I am hopeful I will have it by next weekend. I’m presently doing off-field training because I dislocated my shoulder in training on Monday”, Ezekiel said on Nigeria Football Support Platform.
” My recovery period is going to take a few week, hopefully in few days time I will be back. My plan is to recover on time and get even stronger so as to have some minutes of game time before the end of the season.
” We have six games left to play including the game this weekend, but I haven’t still gotten my work permit yet.
” Let’s hope and see what will happen then”, he rounded up his statement with a local Nigerian proverb in pidgin English ” Who no know, go know” (those who don’t know will know)’.
