Torino has agreed a deal in principle to sign the Nigerian duo of Charles Okwara and Ikechukwu Nwafor once they turn 18, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The duo were handed trials with the U-18s of the team as exclusively reported by this portal in April, after scouts of the Serie A side spotted them during the prestigious Viareggio tournament in Italy.
Okwara and Nwafor impressed the handlers of the team during training sessions, especially the way they acquitted themselves when they were moved from the U-18s to the Primavera side.
Already Torino through president of the team Urbano Cairo have told Garden City Panthers of Port Harcourt that the duo will be signed.
However a deal in principle is what can be agreed now, untill they turn 18 year old, the age stipulated by FIFA for professional contracts by players moving from one continent to another.
