The none inclusion of Chelsea flying wingback Victor Moses in the Super Eagles list for the camp in France, and subsequent friendly game against Corsica has been explained.
Moses and Ogenyi Onazi were the two high profile omission alongside Kenneth Omeruo and their omission was from the list of 22 players who are to meet in France has sparked concerns.
” Ogenyi Onazi won’t be free then, he has club commitments same as Omeruo, unlike some players who are on the list. The idea mainly is to see some fringe players and also help some develop their fitness”, a source close to the coach explained.
” Moses just like Ola Aina and Alex Iwobi will be involved in the English FA Cup final, but unlike Aina and Iwobi who are to report to camp after the game, Rohr believes Moses need to rest ahead of the game against South Africa.
” Aina have played in less games for Chelsea, while Iwobi lost his spot at Arsenal few months ago. This are the players in need of rigorous fitness regime ahead of the game against South Africa not Moses who need to rest”.
