Super Eagles invitee Chidozie Awaziem scored one of the goals that handed FC Porto U19 a 5-0 win over their Sunderland counterparts in the final match of the International Premier League Cup.
Awaziem headed home the final goal of the game for Porto in the rout to help Porto recover from the disappointment of losing last year final.
Meanwhile his Nigerian compatriot at the club, Musa Yahaya made the matchday squad but didn’t get to play in the game despite his strong showing against Manchester United and Swansea City in their previous game.
Yahaya and Awaziem are the two Nigerians with the U19 of the Portuguese side who are regular members of the training session of the first team this season, although they didn’t get to play in top league game.
Awaziem had his breakthrough last season, but he has not played for the first team this season, while Yahaya who joined in the summer is also waiting for his first team debut with four B team appearances to his name.
