The reported plans by Chelsea to swap on loan Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo with Napoli for the services of defender Kalidou Koulibaly isn’t drawing a reaction from his agent yet.
As first reported by this portal and confirmed by top news sources in Italy, Chelsea have proposed a cash plus player (Omeruo) offer in a bid to land one of the prime target of coach Antonio Conte this summer.
Chelsea have been told the 25 year old will cost around £60m are they are hoping to drive the price down by using Omeruo, who has been at the club since 2013 but is yet to play a game for the first team.
Omeruo have been on loan since his signing, but this season he has impressed mightily for Turkish side Alanyaspor which has lead to interest from several team, but Chelsea are hoping to use his form to their own advantage.
Owngoalnigeria.com sent several messages to the official line of his agent via social media application WhatsApp but despite reading the messages, he didn’t respond to our inquiry over the legitimacy of the swap deal as reported.
In the coming days, the future of the Nigeria international will no doubt become clear, but he has already made it known that he is not keen on a return to Chelsea unless he is guaranteed playing time by Conte.
