Super Eagles forward Olarewaju Kayode has confirmed his availability for the Super Eagles friendly game against Corsica after initially pulling out due to club duties.
Kayode has been granted permission by his Austrian side Austria Wien to skip their remaining game, after they secured qualification for the Europa League despite their loss.
Kayode told Brila.net “We have qualified for the Europa League this weekend, though we lost.”
“The teams behind us also lost, it was funny. But my Coach, Thorsten Fink has given his consent so I will join the Super Eagles in Paris, very likely at the airport.”
Coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr is yet to speak on the recent development especially as a replacement has been called up for Kayode, who made his senior national team debut for Nigeria last month in a friendly against Senegal.
However his return coincides with reports from ScoreNigeria, which states that the player called up to replace him Henry Onyekuru could miss the game as he is due to arrive in France, same day the game will hold.
