An explanation has been provided over the exclusion of high flying Chelsea wingback Victor Moses by coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers Clash against South Africa.
Moses was the shock exclusion in the list of players called up for the June 10 cracker against South Africa in Uyo, especially due to his fine form for Premier League winners Chelsea in the recently concluded season in England.
One of the official of the team told Owngoalnigeria.com that Moses exclusion was the decision of the coach, plus the fact that the recently wedded star is also set to undergo surgery.
” Rohr has picked those he believes will get the job done given the time spent together in Corsica and Paris. Some other players will step up to the challenge and the Super Eagles will be better for it”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Aside that Victor Moses is out owing to medical reasons. He will be having surgery on his toe in the coming weeks”.
