The Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of Saturday’s AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa is gradually coming to life following the arrival of seven players lead by captain Ogenyi Onazi.
Nigeria shelve plans to train in Abuja by heading out straight to Uyo, where training is expected to commence later this evening under the supervision of coach Gernot Rohr.
From our count, bar captain Onazi, Victor Osimhen, Dele Alampasu, Daniel Akpeyi, John Ogu, Olarewaju Kayode and Henry Onyekuru are confirmed to have arrive the hotel of the team.
More players are expected to hit the camp before the start of training this evening, however some players could miss the session as they are due to arrive late in the night.
Full training and tactical for the Saturday game will however take place tomorrow morning, when Gernot Rohr will have the full compliment of the players he intends to use in prosecuting the game.
