Kelechi Iheanacho proposed move to West Ham is very much alive with talks still ongoing on the issue of buy back fee, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Already West Ham have agreed to pay Manchester City 24 million pounds as transfer fee, but City wants a buy back clause with a set price after couple of years. An agreement is yet to be reached on that.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered West Ham are currently holding on to a fee of 40 million pounds as buy back, but Man City are insisting on 30 million pounds which has stalled talks.
Also the duration which the buy back option will last is also yet to be resolved with City aiming at a period of four years, while West Ham wants the buy back option to last for a period of two and half years.
A compromise is far from reached, but the desire of Iheanacho to remain in England, particularly London is working perfectly for “The Hammers” who have already agreed personal terms with the forward.
According to the agency responsible for his transfer, a decision on his final destination will most likely be made public in two weeks time when judgement will be passed on the court case over his bonafide intermediary .
