Rabiu Ibrahim has left Belgium side Gent for Slovakian outfit Slovan Bratislava after one season at Gent, where injuries limited his appearance for the team.
26 year old Rabiu Ibrahim was told he was surplus to requirements at Gent following the acquisition of Damien Marcq, and the once upon a time top prospect will be hoping he gets a better season in Slovakia.
Last season he made just 8 appearances for Gent in all competitions failing to justify the club decision to sign him from Slovakian side AS Trencin, where he spent two seasons and made over 50 appearances in all competitions.
Rated as one of the brightest prospect in Nigeria football when he burst onto the scene in 2007, his career has failed to reached the expected height after failed stint at Sporting Lisbon, PSV, Celtic and Kilmarnock.
However he still has five caps for the senior national team of Nigeria with the last of his caps coming in the World Cup 2018 preliminary game against Swaziland in 2015.
