French Ligue 1 side Lens have announced via official channels that former captain of the Nigeria U-17 and 20 team Lukman Haruna will spend time on trial with them.

26 year old Lukman captained the Nigerian U-17 team of 2007 to the World Youth Championship title in South Korea, and subsequently joined Monaco but the move didn’t work out as planned.

He moved to Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine, but after three seasons of been in and out of the first time, he picked up a ligament injury which saw him miss the first six months of the 2014/2015 season.

Loan spells at fellow Ukrainian side Hoverla, Anzhi Makhachkala of Russia and Astana of Kazakhstan failed to help him rediscover the spark that made the Ukrainian giants snap him up.

Dynamo Kiev released him after the expiration of his contract at the end of the recently concluded season, and he will be hoping to impress the technical crew of Lens in his bid to bad a deal and revive his career.
