The proposed transfer of Manchester City Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho to Leicester City appears to be close to completion as most betting sites have suspended betting on the move.
Iheanacho who is also a target of West Ham United was as at last week odds on favourite to join Leicester ahead of the Hammers, in a move reportedly set to cost the foxes 25 million pounds.
West Ham were the initial front runners for his signature but their hesitation to accept Manchester City buy back proposal, plus the amount the buy back and transfer fee has left them playing catch up to Leicester in the race to sign the 20 year old.
Although they have accepted City’s buy back proposal, reports of an imminent deal for the forward are way off the mark as both teams are still some poles apart in their valuation of the forward.
Leicester City are still in the driver’s seat to clinch his signature, which report even suggesting they are willing to double his current wage at Man City and hand him his favourite role behind the striker.
