Nigerian forward Imoh Ezekiel has left Qatari side Al Arabi for Turkish side Konyaspor , owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The 23 year old will be unveiled by the Turkish side tomorrow after the club reached an agreement with his Qatari owners for his transfer from the club where he has spent the last 18 months.
Ezekiel starred for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympics where Nigeria won bronze, and despite offers from teams in Europe he opt to remain with Al-Arabi the team he joined from Standard Liege of Belgium two years ago.
His move back to Europe brings to an end an unhappy spell in Qatar where he failed to settle despite the huge wage he was receiving at the club. His unhappiness lead to a loan spell with Anderlecht six months after his move to Qatar.
Last season, the 23 year old who is comfortable as a forward or winger scored 8 goals from 24 league games for Al Arabi where he is reportedly one of the highest earning players.
