Coach of Manchester City Pep Guardiola has dropped talent worth over £120m from his pre season squad for their tour of the United State Of America later this month.
Although the squad will be told who will miss out when they report back for training this week, reports has it that Joe Hart, Wilfred Bony, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Jason Denayer will not be on the party to the US.
Instead, they will be put through their paces at the club’s training ground in England, while the rest of their team-mates take on the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur in pre season games.
The players are among the group of players who have been told to look elsewhere by the club as they are not in the plans of manager Pep Guardiola, but Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho who has been linked with a move away from the team has survived the chop.
Iheanacho has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham with Leicester City also in the race to sign him, but Guardiola as exclusively reported by this portal has told the player he will only be sold if a replacement is found for him.
Also City have told interested clubs that the forward will only be sold with Man City have the option to buy him back in the future, a sign of how high the manager rates the Nigerian.
