Nigeria Rio 2016 Ace Usman Muhammed Gets New Resumption Date At Barcelona


Usman Mohammed has been given a new date to resume training with the B team of Barcelona following the authentication of his move to the Spanish giants on a free transfer from Uniao Madeira .


Mohammed’s move to Barcelona became official on the 1st of July, the date his two year deal with Portuguese side Uniao Madeira came to an end. A club he didn’t play for due to contractual issues and dispute over his transfer.

A member of the bronze winning Nigerian team of the Rio 2016‎ Olympics, the 22 year old impressed the handlers of the B team of the La-liga side towards the end of last season when he had trials with the team.

He was subsequently offered a deal by the La-Liga side to team up with their B team from where his progress will be monitored by the handlers of the first team lead by coach Ernesto Valverde.

‎The man who has one senior national team cap for Nigeria is expected to team up with the B team on the 17th of July, where he will undergo medical tests with the rest of the squad on the 18th to 19th.

A training tour which Usman would most likely nbe involved in will see the B team travel to ‎Torremirona from the 22nd of July to the 29th, where they will take on L’Escala on the 25th and Perelada on the 29th.
