Usman Mohammed has been given a new date to resume training with the B team of Barcelona following the authentication of his move to the Spanish giants on a free transfer from Uniao Madeira .
Mohammed’s move to Barcelona became official on the 1st of July, the date his two year deal with Portuguese side Uniao Madeira came to an end. A club he didn’t play for due to contractual issues and dispute over his transfer.
A member of the bronze winning Nigerian team of the Rio 2016 Olympics, the 22 year old impressed the handlers of the B team of the La-liga side towards the end of last season when he had trials with the team.
He was subsequently offered a deal by the La-Liga side to team up with their B team from where his progress will be monitored by the handlers of the first team lead by coach Ernesto Valverde.
The man who has one senior national team cap for Nigeria is expected to team up with the B team on the 17th of July, where he will undergo medical tests with the rest of the squad on the 18th to 19th.
A training tour which Usman would most likely nbe involved in will see the B team travel to Torremirona from the 22nd of July to the 29th, where they will take on L’Escala on the 25th and Perelada on the 29th.
