Coach of French Ligue 1 side Lens has given an update on the fate of Nigerian midfielder Lukman Haruna who is currently undergoing trails with the team.
Haruna is looking to get his career back on track after leaving Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev following the expiration of his contract at the team, which wasn’t renewed after he returned following a loan spell in Kazakhstan.
The 26 year old is currently on trial at Lens, but after scoring in back to back test games for the club in their pre season friendly, he has not been able to resume training no thanks to the knock he picked up against Troyes.
Coach Alain Casanova said the midfielder who had a stint with French giants Monaco will be assessed quickly but for now, no decision has been made regarding his potential signing or not despite his goals in back to games.
” He’s still injured. He will resume soon, and a decision will be made very quickly. Hopefully before the end of the month”, he said.
