Nigeria international defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed he could yet stay at Chelsea after teaming up with the team for their pre season training ahead of their engagement later this month.
Omeruo who has been on loan since joining the team in 2013 spent last season on loan at Alanyaspor, but he is back training with the team and according to the 23 year old he could yet remain at the club.
He confirmed he turned down a loan move to an unnamed Greek side, as he is still weighing up his future at Chelsea, where he is seeking assurances of regular playing time.
“I really can’t say for now if I will be going back to Turkey, but definitely Greece is out of it,” Omeruo begins in an exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
“There’s a chance for me to stay, but I don’t fancy a bench role.
“The world Cup is one year away and I must be playing regularly to feature in the Nigeria squad.”
