Ex Nigeria U17 World Cup Winner Scores For Leicester City In Trial Game


‎Former Nigeria U17 midfielder Habib Makanjuola scored for Leicester City in a trial game for the U23s of the Foxes against Leamington but his team ended up losing the pre season game 1-2.


Makanjuola was the youngest player of the Nigeria U17 team of 2013 which won the World Youth Championship, although he didn’t get to play in the Championship as players like Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Taiwo Awoniyi, Musa Yahaya among others kept him out of the team.

At at 2013 when he represented Nigeria at the WYC he was on the books of Chelsea, but he was subsequently released and had to take a step down by joining Championship side Birmingham City.

The ball joggling midfielder who is extremely gifted on the ball failed to cut it at Birmingham City, and will be hoping he gets a contract at Leicester City after his present trial.
