Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is gradually losing his golden boy tag at Germany Bundesliga side Wolfsburg with new signing Kaylen Hinds slowly taking his spot as the hottest teen on the block for the team.
Hinds got off to a flying start after his move from Arsenal with a goal on his debut, and the forward added another goal in his second game today as they edge out Dynamo Dresden 4-3 in a tightly contested pre season game.
While Hinds has scored in back to back games, Osimhen has failed to score in any of the games but he has indeed come close to scoring in both games, with his goal ruled out in their previous game.
Today he had a glorious chance to put the game beyond the reach of Dresden, but he failed to keep his effort low and hence wasted a golden chance to put his team 5-3 up in the game.
Although Hinds operates more as a winger or second striker, Osimhen is being groomed by coach Andries Jonker as the long term replacement for veteran top striker Mario Gomez, as he has replaced the big German forward in their last two games.
