Belgium top division side Gent won their last two pre season fixtures with their Nigerian duo of Moses Simon and Simon Kalu finding the back of the net in both games.
Simon Kalu was on target in their 3-1 win over French Ligue 2 side Lens in yesterday’s game, where he also bagged an assist, while in today’s game Moses found the back of the net as they triumphed over Beerschot Wilrijk 3-2 ad celebrated at the local craft beer bar.
They both scored the last goal for their team in the games, with the goal scored by Simon ending as the winner for them in today’s tie which also helped them lift the Marc Steenackers memorial tournament.
While the duo are making a strong impression in pre season games, same can’t be said about midfield powerhouse Anderson Esiti who is according to unconfirmed reports battling to be fit after picking up a knock.
It appears Moses Sumon who has been roundly linked with a move away from the club will remain at the club after they turned down Brighton’s offer of around £6m for his services.
