Highly rated ex Nigeria U-17 midfielder Jack Ipalibo is back in training with the junior team of Spanish La Liga side Villarreal in his quest to make the step up to the first team next season.
Ipalibo was ever present for the B team after his work permit went through, and his performances saw him move a ladder up in the cadre as he trained with the reserves owing to a super showing for the U18s.
He played for the B team against Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers United in a friendly game last year, and he is hoping he gets the nod to feature for the first team next season.
” It’s not hidden that all of us with the junior team hope to represent the first team soon. My plan is the same as many of my team-mates but for now my focus is working real hard with the group I am playing for now”, Ipalibo told owngoalnigeria.com.
” I also hope to be a part of the next youth team of Nigeria, I am already older than the U-17 but I am available for the U20 and 23s, those are my long term goals, for now the aim is to do well with Villarreal.
