Forgotten Super Eagles Striker Emenike Score For Olympiakos In UCL Qualifiers

Former Super Eagles first choice forward Emmanuel Emenike showed his finishing prowess in his first competitive game for Greek side Olympiakos in their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Partizan Belgrade.

Emenike was introduced in the 89th minute of the game for his official debut for the Greek champions and the power playing forward quickly got himself on the score sheet with the third goal for his time.

Olympiakos were leading Partizan Belgrade 2-1 before his introduction, but just when it seems the Serbs are going to grab a late equaliser Emenike put the game beyond their reach with the third goal for his side.

The second leg tie will be played next week in Greece, with Olympiakos all but guarantee progression to the next round, thanks to their healthy 3-1 win away from home in tonight’s first leg tie.
