Lillestrøm of Norway signed 19 year old Nigerian midfielder Innocent Bonke as a replacement for another Nigerian Innocent Bonke who could be on his way to the Italian Serie A.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered from sources close to the Norwegian club that Bonke is courting interest from two Serie A teams, which according to sources could be Lazio.
Bonke trained with the U-17 team of Nigeria in 2013 but failed to make the squad for the World Youth Championship, but since his move to Norway he has grown in leaps and bounds.
He has racked up an impressive total of 54 league appearance for Lillestrøm since breaking into the team in 2015 after playing just once in 2014 when his move went through.
His strong showing in midfielder have not gone unnoticed and Lazio are weighing up a move for the 21 year old, although there is interest as well from another team in the Serie A as well.
Lillestrøm are open to the idea of letting him leave, hence their decision in signing Ezeh who they view as a like for like replacement for Bonke whose move might come as early as this summer or in January.
