The official website of former English Premier League champions Leicester City named Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi as two players who distinguished themselves in their 1-0 pre season win over Luton Town.
Musa set up Riyad Mahrez for the only goal of the game, the striker was lively throughout, and he was among two players who lasted the entire duration of the game, despite manager Craig Shakespeare giving game time to 20 players.
His run behind the defence of Luton Town twice saw him come close to scoring, and in one instance he took on three Luton Town defenders but couldn’t apply the finish needed to cap his move.
Ndidi on his part bossed the game even though he wasn’t on for the entire duration of the game. His performance with that of Musa was rated as the best of the night among Leicester City players by the website.
The report on the website of Leicester City was captured under the headline ” Who Impressed” and it read thus:
“Ahmed Musa’s link-up play from the left wing will have most certainly pleased manager Craig Shakespeare. A full 90 minutes was no doubt beneficial for the Leicester winger, too, and while he wasn’t on target himself, an assist for Riyad Mahrez’s late strike was very much deserved.
Another man who looked comfortable was midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who managed to win the ball on several occasions, while he was unfornunate not to score after losing his footing at the last minute while one-on-one with James Shea.”
