Freshly signed Club Brugge of Belgium Nigerian forward Dennis Bonaventure scored on his first official game as they played out a six goal thriller against Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Nicknamed Nigerian Neymar, Dennis has scored in all but two of the game he has played for the team since his transfer from Zorya of Ukraine in the summer, but the goal against Istanbul Basaksehir is his first in a competitive game for the team.
The Nigerian opened scoring for Brugge six minutes into the game but his side threw away a two goal lead in three minutes, and had to rely on a late goal scored by defender Stefano Denswil to draw 3-3.
The second leg of the qualifiers will be played in Turkey in two weeks time. While Bonaventure was on for 62nd minutes, former Nigeria U17 and 20 captain Musa Mohammed was not listed by the Turkish side.
