Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Brown Ideye has returned back to Greece where he last played for Olympiakos before his big money move to Chinese side Tianjin Teda.
Ideye moved to the Chinese side in February for a fee in the region of €12m , but what was supposed to be a whole new exciting experience turned into nightmare after he was demoted to the Reserve team.
His demotion according to several sources had to do with his attitude after losing his starting spot in the team, but his minders claim he fell out with the top brass of the club after he revolted against the club for breaching terms of his contract.
Axe from the list of first team players following the signing of Ghanaian forward Frank Achempong, the 28 year old who scored 4 goals in the 14 games he played for the team is back in Greece in search of a move to keep alive his chances of representing Nigeria at the World Cup 2018.
However a move back to Olympiakos is highly unlikely as the club recently signed Ideye’s former national team partner in attack Emmanuel Emenike, but he is hopeful of getting a deal at least with one of the teams in the league, thanks to his past exploit.
He scored a total of 23 league goals in 44 games in the one and half season he spent in Greece, and he was well on course to surpass his best ever scoring season of 15 goals scored for Sochaux of France in 2011, as he was on 13 goals before he left for China.
