Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has spoken out on the possibility of Lille outcast Vincent Enyeama staging a return to the Super Eagles ahead of the clash against Cameroon.
Speaking in Kano shortly after the CHAN Eagles training ahead of their upcoming qualifiers, the Franco-German coach of the Super Eagles revealed the goalkeeper told him he is through with French side Lille.
However he ruled him out of an imminent return to the team as he is currently out injured and will miss the next three months, but the coach also confirmed the door is open for him if he decides to return back to the team.
“We are in touch, we need the best players and the goalkeeper position is an important position. Unfortunately, he is injured, he has had operation for cruciate ligament, he will be out for another two, three months before he comes back to play.
“He has to also change clubs because his club have bought two new goalkeepers. It’s finished for him at Lille.
“If he is fit again, the door (to my team) is open for him”, he said.
