Many fans of Leicester City would have forgotten about the warning sounded out to them by Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola before their clash last season, where he warned them about the qualities of their new buy Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho completed his move to the King Power outfit from Manchester City yesterday evening, a transfer that gives City the option to buy back the striker before the end of his proposed five year stay at the club.
Leicester City in the words of Guardiola on the 12th of May 2017 have signed striker who is a killer in the box, with his strike rate of 12 league goals from 8 shots on target making him one of the most prolific forwards in the premier league.
“Kelechi is a young player – a killer in the box. He is strong and fast. At the end of the season we will talk about individual players”, he said shortly before their league clash against Leicester City on the 13th of May.
The Leicester City number 8 man will make his debut tonight when they take on German side Borrusia Monchenglabach in their final pre season friendly game at the King Power Stadium tonight ahead of the Premier League which begins in a week time.
20 year old Iheanacho is in line to make his competitive debut against Arsenal in Leicester City first league game when the Premier League resumes for the 2017/2018 season on the 12th of August.
