Portuguese side CD Feirense are presently locked in contract extension talks with Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo with his present deal set to expire in 2018.
Etebo signed a two and half year deal with the team when he joined them from Nigeria League side Warri Wolves and he has grown into an influential member of the first team.
He was instrumental in their success in gaining promotion to the top flight league, and the 21 year old played a crucial role in helping them preserve their top flight league status last season.
” He will be a free agent in six months time, so the time to renew is now. He is keen on renewing his stay but he is yet to agree personal terms and duration of the extension “, Daniel Martins Owngoalnigeria.com transfer expert revealed.
” The club want him to renew because a strong performance for Nigeria if they qualify for the World Cup will see them sell him on a premium, but if he doesn’t renew, he will walk away as a free agent”.
Linked with a host of club, Turkish side Fenerbahce and English Premier League side Leicester City were the two club who made formal enquiry over his availability, with Bursaspor also joining them in vying for the services of the Nigeria Rio 2016 Olympics star.
