Leicester City Boss Speaks On Iheanacho Link-Up Play With Vardy In Attack

‎As the date draws near to when they will be taking on Arsenal in their first English Premier League game of the season on Friday, coach of Leicester City Craig Shakespeare has given his thoughts about the potential of Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy in attack.

Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Manchester City and 48 hours later set up Vardy for the second goal in their 2-1 pre season win over German side Borrusia Monchenglabach in what was their final preparatory game.

Shakespeare is delighted by the link up play between the duo and is hoping to see more of it when they take on Arsenal on Friday, although it’s not yet known if Iheanacho will be fit enough to start after picking a knock that lead to his substitution.

Shakespeare said : “[Vardy] wanted to get back on the scoresheet and it was very unselfish of Kelechi to lay it on a plate for him.
