Coach of Leicester City has confirmed that new signing Kelechi Iheanacho has recovered from the knock he suffered in their pre season 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach , declaring him fit and ready to face Arsenal in tomorrow’s Premeir League opener against Arsenal.
The coach while giving updates on the fitness of his players ahead of the Arsenal game revealed the Nigerian who joined the team from Manchester City will play against Arsenal, but said he is not sure he will play the entire duration of the game.
“Danny Drinkwater as got a thigh injury and should hopefully be another week,” Shakespeare told the media on Wednesday afternoon.
“On a positive note, Kelechi trained fully after his little knock against Borussia Mönchengladbach. He’s over his toe injury and he’s fully fit”, the manager said.
The link up play between Iheanacho and top striker Jamie Vardy which was praised by the manager after their win over Borussia Monchengladbach is one that Arsenal will be wary off following the confirmation of Iheanacho’s return to full fitness.
