As first reported by Owngoalnigeria.com captain of the 2016 Nigeria U-17 team Igho Ogbu is presently in Norway training with Rosenborg in a view of bagging a deal when he turns 18 next year.
He is with Rosenborg and not Lillestroem as earlier reported by this portal, and in our usual style we have obtained official pictures of the central defender who can also play in defensive midfield in the colours of Rosenborg.
17 year old Igho trained with Polish side Legia Warsaw in March, but they failed to keep contact with his nursery team Geelec Football Academy, which gave Rosenborg the chance to snatch him up.
If he impresses the handlers of the team, he will be handed a pre contract which will metarphose into a professional deal once he turns 18 in February next year.
Already he has had a taste of professional football in Nigeria as he featured for Gombe United in 12 games this season, with his last appearance coming in their last league game against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
Strong in duels and blessed with a near perfect ball distribution, he is widely expected to be in the next U20 team of Nigeria who are expected to begin training once a coach is announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
