Partizan Belgrade latest acquisition Theophilus Solomon turned down a big money move to Egyptian side Smouha in favour of the Serbian side, can exclusively reveal.

The Egyptian side were willing to pay the 21 year old a monthly salary of 20,000 dollars a month, a fee they arrived at after he snubbed their initial offer of 15,000 dollars a month.

Solomon who joined Partizan Belgrade on loan from Rijeka was told to snub the offer by his agent and Nigerian guardian, who were both on the same page regarding the forward continuing his career in Europe.

Although Rijeka agreed to the Egyptian side proposal to have him on loan and later buy him permanently, the refusal of Solomon after dual consultations with his advisers made the deal to fall through.

The Egyptian side even proposed to fly him on a chartered aircraft to Spain, where he will meet with the club president but the forward snubbed the overtures despite pressure from the agent who brought the deal and the Sporting Director of the team.
